Hey fellow humans – Welcome to issue #9
This week's newsletter was sparked by a brilliant X article from entrepreneur Yasser El Said (@yasser_elsaid_), founder of Chatbase. In his piece, Yasser draws on historical examples like Napoleon crowning himself emperor to illustrate a core truth: success isn't bestowed—it's seized through self-belief and bold action. He argues that in this permissionless age, entrepreneurs must embody "borderline delusional confidence" to break free from traditional hierarchies. People don't root for underdogs forever; they champion those who present themselves as inevitable winners. As one commenter put it, "Identity is claimed, then inhabited."

Deep Dive
In a world where gatekeepers once held the keys to success—VCs, media moguls, corporate ladders—the game has flipped. Today, with AI, no-code tools, and global connectivity at our fingertips, we're entering the era of the permissionless entrepreneur. No more waiting for validation, funding rounds, or "permission" to play big. You claim your throne, act like you've already won, and the world recalibrates around you.
In his article, Yasser introduces the concept of narrative design: “When you behave as if your position is inevitable, people adjust their perception to match your presentation.”
In Human X.0's framework, we call this Identity Architecture—the deliberate rewiring of your internal narratives to make that external inevitability your lived reality.
If you're stuck seeking external permission, it's often rooted in limiting beliefs from past "traumas"—rejections, failures, or societal conditioning that whispers, "You're not ready yet." But neuroscience shows us we can rewire this. Through neuroplasticity, consistent identity-based habits can upgrade your subconscious OS, turning "permission-seeking" into "permissionless execution."
Drawing from Yasser's article and our core ethos, let's explore how to step into this era. I'll break down the mindset shift and provide actionable steps to embody the identity of the founder who's already made it—the one operating from abundance, not scarcity.
Why Permissionless Matters Now More Than Ever
Traditional paths to entrepreneurship were linear: pitch decks, accelerators, media features, but the internet and AI have democratized creation. You can build a chatbot empire (like Chatbase) or launch a global newsletter without a publisher's nod. Yet, many founders self-sabotage by waiting for "proof" of worthiness.
From a neuroscience lens, this hesitation ties to the brain's default mode network (DMN), which replays old narratives to keep you "safe." Studies from hubs like Stanford's Neurobiology Lab show that shifting to a permissionless identity activates the prefrontal cortex, enhancing decision-making and resilience. When you act "as if," mirror neurons in others fire, aligning their perceptions with your projection—people start treating you like the leader you claim to be.
Yasser's Napoleon analogy is spot-on: crowning yourself invites battles, but it also rallies allies. In founder terms, this means pitching your vision with unshakeable conviction, even if your metrics aren't there yet. The result? Opportunities flow because, as Yasser notes, "People root for you when they think you deserve more than you have got."
Steps to Embody the Identity of the Founder Who's Already Made It
To upgrade to your permissionless version (e.g., from Roya 4.0 to 5.0), we reprogram at the identity level. This isn't surface-level affirmation; it's sustained practice backed by psychology (e.g., James Clear's habit atomicity) and neuroscience (e.g., hub-and-spoke model of identity formation). Commit to these steps for 66 days—the average time for neural pathways to solidify, per UCL research—to rewrite your subconscious CEO.
Claim Your Crown: Audit and Rewrite Limiting Narratives Start by identifying the "permission-seeking" stories in your subconscious. Journal prompts: "What external validation am I waiting for?" or "Where did I learn I need 'permission' to succeed?" (E.g., childhood rejections or startup failures.) Neuroscience hack: Use bilateral eye movements (EMDR-inspired) while visualizing your "made it" self—research from the Journal of Neuroscience shows this reduces emotional charge on old traumas. Rewrite the narrative: "I am the permissionless founder who builds empires without apology." Repeat daily to shift from scarcity to sovereignty.
Act 'As If': Install Identity-Based Habits Embody the founder who's already succeeded by adopting their routines. If your 2.0 version is a bootstrapped millionaire, what do they do? Network like a mogul, delegate like a CEO, rest like a pro. Pick 3 micro-habits—e.g., send one bold outreach email daily, end meetings with "What's next?" authority, or visualize boardroom wins for 5 minutes pre-sleep (leveraging theta brainwaves for subconscious imprinting). Per habit science, stack them on existing cues (e.g., after coffee) to build momentum without burnout.
Amplify Perception: Project Inevitability Externally As Yasser emphasizes, behave as if your position is inevitable. Update your bio, LinkedIn, and X profile to reflect your upgraded identity (e.g., "Building the future of [your niche] at scale"). Share wins publicly—no humblebrag needed. Psychology backing: Social proof loops activate dopamine in others, making them invest in your story. Track progress with a "wins journal" to reinforce your brain's reward system, turning confidence into a self-fulfilling prophecy.
Defend Your Throne: Build Resilience Against Pushback Crowning yourself invites critics (Napoleon fought wars; you'll face doubters). Prep your subconscious with polyvagal theory practices: Deep belly breathing to shift from fight/flight to ventral vagal "safety" state, per Dr. Stephen Porges. Step: When resistance hits, reframe: "This is proof I'm playing bigger." Over time, this reprograms amygdala responses, reducing fear and amplifying grit.
By embodying these steps, you're not just building a business—you're architecting a new identity. The permissionless entrepreneur doesn't ask, "Can I?" They declare, "I am."
